Services:  The Child and Teen Checkup (C&TC) Program is a Medical Assistance/MinnesotaCare health and development screening program.  All
children ages 0-21, covered by either program are eligible to receive the comprehensive screening free of charge.  Children not covered by MA
or MinnesotaCare can access the screening through their private insurance or Public Health's sliding-fee scale. If children participate in C&TC
between the ages of 3 and 5, and parents give permission for records to be shared with schools, they do not have to be screened again for Early
Childhood Screening.

Services:  Children ages 3-5 must participate in ECS once before starting Kindergarten in a public school.  The purpose of ECS is to detect health and developmental needs early.  Some school districts, through Public Health, offer optional physical screenings in addition to the state mandated components.  The ECS contacts for each school district are listed above.

Legion Park

Established:          1930                        Size:        1.24 Acres

Location:               Broadway and 8^th Ave West

Description:          Small park with flower beds, fountain, trees, close to downtown Alexandria

Facilities:               2 Basketball Courts, 2 shuffle board courts, 6 horseshoe courts

Noonan Park

Established:          1937                        Size:        7.64 Acres

Location:               Corner of Nokomis and 10^th Ave E.

                                6 blocks east of Broadway on 10^th Ave. E.

Description:          Scenic park with 3 Acre pond with ducks and geese.  Park is divided by Nokomis Street.  Flowerbeds and shrubs.

Facilities:               3 park shelters, playground equipment, park bench swings, restrooms, drinking fountain on east side, warming house for skating on the west side

to 1 week in advance.  Bus fare is $2.00 per 10 mile zone and/or in town.  Tickets and punch cards are available.  Rainbow Rider offers a volunteer
driver program for people who are unable to use the bus.
